Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Child support order and income verification

Hubbys ex works under the table and makes around 10-12k in a summer, she supposed to be getting support form her other ex and she gets benefits for one of her kids, state assistance and my husbands support. She works for her friend. Thing is she doesnt report it to FOC so they factor her at min. wage 40 hours a week b/c thats what shes ''able to'' work. My husband pays her an arm and a leg and evrytime we go in hopefully to get it lowered, they raise it even if he makes less than before.

What can we do so she has to show her income? Her friend doesnt provide her a W2 either so she doesnt claim any of it for taxes.

which brings about another question..can she let her mom whom she lives with claim the kids even though theres no legal gaurdianship? It doesnt seem that her mom should have legal rights to do that over my husband. Hubby should have presidence shouldnt he? ''How'' can she claim them? We live in MI ~ please explain thanks

Re: Child support order and income verification

Put a little money into the case and hire an investigator to follow her, go into the restaurant as a customer, someone who can testify as to the hours she works, etc. Then armed with this ammo. file a motion to reduce support. Evidence wins cases. William S. Stern
