Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Child support

I am in the process of finalizing my divorce with my ex-husb. My atty and I are waiting and it seems like ''eternity'' to see if they will accept the counteroffer. In the meantime, i have a 6 mo. old baby and need child support. dna was done, hes the father. Can I or my atty motion for child support NOW or do I have to continue to wait to see if they agree to the judgment? I have asked my atty a couple of times and she always tells me ''lets just get this divorce done because in it, there will be chd support amt etc.... but how long do I have to keep waiting??? CAN I MYSELF handle this issue with child support by going through the friend of the court? or should I let my atty handle this? Iam so frustrated here because I dont feel my atty is doing her best and its not her that is in my position. HELP PLZ.

Re: Child support

I would certainly have had a temporary child support order in place early in the case.
