Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

child support

In regard to child support, I live in AZ, and my son lives in MI. My son failed to graduate from high school in spring of 2007 because of lack of credits. In my opinion, this was allowed by his mother purposely in order to gain further support. I have been paying FAITHFULLY for the past 10 years. He will turn 19 in January. How much longer am I responsible to pay? Also to mention, he is working full time. As well, when I ask him, or his mother when he's graduating, neither one seems to know. I was told in springs of 2007, by his mother that he didn't have enough credits and that he would not be graduating until Nov-Dec sometime. Today is Oct. 4th 2007 and I had to call his school myself today to find out he's not going to graduate until Apr-May 2008. What are my obligations?

Re: child support

You should have a family law attorney review your final custody order to be certain but generally your obligation ends when you child graduates from high school or is 19 1/2 years old.
