Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Cohabitation Law in the State of Michigan
Are you aware of any Michigan law that states if a couple (man and woman) have been 'dating' or 'living together' for a period of 10 years or more then a percentage of assets are divisible between the two people? Thank you for your assistance.

Michigan law is clear at the present time that couples who live together are considered single. There is no common law in Michigan. If you want any rights to the property of your significant other, you must get married.
