Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Cohabitation with opposite sex, none family member

Is it posible to prevent my child's mother from cohabitating with someone of the opposite sex, none family member? The child is 3 months old and I am trying to bond with my child. I think this would be confusing for my child. We are currently going through a custody battle. She has denined me access to my child from the beginning and I had to get an attorney to make that happen. Your help is greatly appreciated.

It is difficult to prevent cohabitation unless you have a conservative judge. Normally, cohabitation combined iwth other behavior that makes a poor custodial environment may be enough. Cohabitation is merely one factor. Courts are much less judgmental on this issue than previously. Promiscuous behavior is actually much more likely to create a poor environment for the children than a solid, long term relationship among people who just have not married. Look at Goldie Hawn/Kurt Russell. Bill Stern
