Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
common law marrige
I am 25 years old and have a girlfriend that is 29, that i have been with for 3 years and she has lived at my house for 1 year. I own the house as well as everything in it except for a few things that are hers (TV and bed). I pay all the bills except for the cable. She receives no mail here and the address on her drivers license is her parents house. If i ever wanted to kick her out would i run into any legal problems that you can think of? Would I have to give her any type of time period or could i legally just change the locks and put her stuff on the front lawn?

There is no common law marriage in Michigan.
You would be required to go through an eviction process to evict your girlfriend.
