i have heard of individuals becoming

qualified to marry couples. we have a

son being married in a remote area of

michigan summer, '08. Can a friend

become eliible to conduct a legal

marriage in Michigan?

yes, there is a process you can go through to become a person licensed to conduct marriage ceremonies (without being a judge or ordained minister). check out michigan's government website for more information and what you need to do and/or google it.
