Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
I currently went to court for child support and the referee lowered the amount I was getting by half. I can appeal but I need just cause. The referee played the what if game because i am curently a saty at home mother. I have moved on and had 3 more children and my fiance works very hard so i have the luxary of being a stay at home mother for now. My youngest is 6 months and I just stopped breastfeeding so that i could work in the near future. But somehow because my ex isnt woring enough he isnt made to go to work first and take any responsibility for his two children. Even though I have not been working I put myself through school so that when it was time for me to go back to work I could have a career and not just o job but again the referee blew me off. Im not sure what i can do but i feel i and my children are being punished because im not currenlty working. my ex is over 11,000 behind and it seems that he is getting out of all responsibilities as a father cionsidering he isnt a part of their life the least he can do is provide finacial help
