Custody of parent

Is there a way to have a legal custody of my mother who is still married, not legally separated, but is living with me and I am supporting her financially?

Re: Custody of parent

Depending on the circumstances, yes it is possible. She can consent to guardianship and/or conservatorship. I can help you with this. Call me at 586-992-9981 if you would like to discuss this in further detail.

Re: Custody of parent

If your mother is mentally infirm, you can be appointed her guardianand/or conservator. The court would appoint a guardian ad litem to check out the allegations of her mental infirmity. If it checks out and she needs assistance, then you can be appointed. The husband would have to be notified of your petition. Bill Stern 248-353-9400
