Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

i have custody question, my girlfriend doesnt want to live at her home anymore. she gets abused and mistreateed, and just last night she was getting thrown around, and got uppercutted in her jaw. my family would be okay with her living here, we would just want to know what would happen, like would be responsible for everything, like her medical cost? or would her parents still be responsible for that
