Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Right to see my Daughter if there is a court order in place.
Yes. I have a court order that states I have the right to see my daughter every other week with the FOC in Oakland County. I was unable to take my daughter two weeks ago, because my new job required that I work the same weekend that I had my kid. My ex-girlfriend stated that if I didn't take her next weekend she would refuse to let me see her. I have only twice ever told her I can't take my kid. Both times have been because of my job requiring that I come in. My question is that if for any reason I can't take my kid for a weekend, but let the mother know in advance is that grounds for her to refuse to let me see her in the future and what should I do since she made this clear threat.

Right now there is no order preventing you from seeing your daughter if you have the difficulties you described. So notify the mother when you want to se her. If she refuses, then go to the judge. If you need help, call. 248-353-9400 Bill Stern
