my daughters feelings where hurt!
what would this be called?My ex husband 31yrs old had our daugter for his weekend visatation.He took her to the doctors,he did the signing to see the doctor,but his 18yr old girlfriend did all the talking with the doctor about our 8yr old daughter.When they had left the doctors office the girlfriend had called her high school friends and told them about what the doctor had said about our daughters situation.My daughter tells me this is what happened and she says it made her feel very bad and it hurt her feelings because she did not want anyone to know her bussiness.What would this be called and what can I do about it? She is very self consious now!

This is very demeaning behavior for the child and shows a lack of judgment on the part of your ex-husband and girlfriend. The problem is, it may be difficult to prove without your daughter's testimony and may put her in an uncomfortable position with your ex and his girlfriend. With their maturity level, they may punish her for mentioning it to you. You can file a motion before the judge to restrict visitation with the girlfriend present but have to make that judgment whether it is worth it or not. William S. Stern
