Daughter's ex won't sign divorce papers
no kids or assets. Abusive, verbally and physical. How does my daughter get her ex to sign papers? She has att. in Mississippi. He moved back to Michigan.

I don't know about Missisiippi, but in Michigan if one spouse wants to get divorced and the other doesn't, the spouse who wants to end the marriage simply has to file for divorce. My guess is that Mississippi is the same. That means that if your daughter is telling you that her spouse won't sign, it is an excuse to stay with him. William S. Stern

Your daughter should speak to her attorney about filing a default judgment.
