Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Devorce/Property

It was ordered thru the devorce that my ex refinance the house in his name within 90 days of the devorce. He has not done that, it has been 2 years, I am still on the loan as liable. I have read the decree and it states in no uncertain terms that he was to have done this. What can I do ? And is my credit going to be affected by his default on the loan? He is 5 months behind in payments. The new morgage Co. has offered a settlement with him but has heard

no word. Can I sue him for ruining my credit ? I did sign a quit claim deed as well.

Re: Devorce/Property

Where was the divorce judgment entered, as that is the court that has jurisdiction over this matter. You need to hire a lawyer to file a motion to enforce the terms of the judgment of divorce and obtain costs & attorney fees, along with other relief, for your ex's failure to comply with the JOD, causing you harm, etc.

If the JOD was entered in Michigan, please contact me to discuss further, retain me, or have me refer you to another lawyer, depending on what county the court is located.

Thank you.
