Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
I disciplined my son and he went to school and reported it to the school and they CPS involved now the police wants me to give a statement. Do i give it without a lawyer or no?

No! Absolutely not! Never, ever talk to the police, CPS, or anyone of that nature if you are under investigation or suspected of wrongdoing without consulting with a lawyer first. You and your lawyer can decide what the best course of action is to take. Once something is said to the police it can't be unsaid so it's important to consult with a lawyer in your area as soon as possible. Look for a lawyer that primarily practices criminal defense.
