If I'm in a child support suit & I file a countersuit for a divorce, am I still the defendant ?

If the original complaint filed was a Complaint for Support, you are the Defendant in that action. If you filed a Complaint for Divorce, you are the Plaintiff in the divorce action. They are two separate cases, with two separate case numbers.
