divorce entitlements

I was marrried for 22yrs the first 16yrs i was in the royal navy I moved in with my wife for 2 years, then the last 4 years i lived alone untill getting a divorce in 2002. Since that equalls up to 22years of marriage do I still owe alimony, even though we were separated for most of our marriage?

This depends on the state, but several factors are looked at to determine if someone is to receive or pay alimony/maintenance, including the length of the marriage, the standard of living the spouse that makes less is used to, the spouse's ability to earn money, etc. If you were court ordered to pay in 2002, then these factors were taken into account at that time. You must abide by the terms of the divorce judgment/agreement. If you are unsure of hat this means, consult an attorney.
