possible divorce

everything is under my husband name, and i can't afford a lawyer but want a divorce due to infedility on his part.how do i go about doing this.can i get him to pay for my part of the divorce too?

If you cannot afford a lawyer due to limited income, contact the State Bar of Michigan referral hotline, tell them what you're looking for, and they can refer you to pro bono lawyers and family law clinics. What your husband ends up paying for in the divorce, such as part of your lawyer's fees, depends on a multitude of factors, which cannot be answered here without knowing all of the details.

Michigan is a no fault divorce state, which means that fault is not a consideration when dividing assets and property. However, as part of the entire negotiation and resolution, you can request he pay part of the lawyer's fees, and if he disputes this, the judge would have to ultimately decide that issue.
