i went to legal aid to file for free, my wife went before me to start the process so they can not help me, about 2 months ago, she will not finish the paper work, what can i do

It depends on what paperwork you're talking about. Has a case been filed with the Court? If not, you need to file. If so, then it depends on your situation and you will need to consult with an attorney.
