Divorce Promise

During divorce, I was given a signed scrap of paper stating that upon receiving inheritance, the inhertance would be split with me. Is this signed note from my ex legal and will it stand up if I have go to court toget the money that I was promised?

It's not likely that a scrap of paper will stand up in court as a postnuptial agreement.
