Divorce settelment

My divorce had gone to trial.We finally agreed on a settlement on 4-23-08. The judge said he wanted all sign docs in his office no later than 5-01-08. It is now 5-13-08 I still do not have final papers. Therefore I'm still paying for my ex's health ins and auto ins. My attorney said she's working on it. She also told me my ex's attorney is draging his feet to get the most for his client. The judge called both attorneys on april 30th asking for the documents. Do I have any other recourse?

Re: Divorce settelment

You stand a risk that the case will be dismissed and that you have to start it over. Tell the lawyer to notice it up for entry of judgment with the proposed judgment attached to the motion. At least you'll be protected in that regard. William S. Stern
