Is my wife responsible for a credit card debt under my name I have from opening a business and failing?

If you mean responsible from the credit cards view, no, because she is not on that card and is not liable. If you mean can she be held responsible in the case, the answer is maybe. This can be negotiated, like anything else, or a Judge can require her to pay a portion of the debt if it is equitable. Tim Klisz
