Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I have been divorced for coming up on 3 years, now. My ex makes no attempt to contact our little girl (she is 3) and is remarried and moving to Japan with the Air Force in July. My boyfriend is looking for jobs outside of Michigan (in Ohio or Indiana), but we wanted to know about the 100 mile radius rule. Is there any way I can move out of state without having the parenting time changed? We have a non-conventional agreement and my ex has no desire to see her except at Christmas, but if I moved he would reopen it so she could stay with him for a few months in Japan... I don't feel comfortable with this option at all since he is not interested in our daughter, only in having control over me. What are my options?

Wait until he moves to Japan. Then file a motion to move to another state. He will be in a poorer position to challenge the move when he is in Japan. Get some expert testimony (psychologist) that in the event of a request to send your daughter to Japan, that it would be traumatic since he is essentially a stranger to the little girl.
