Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Divorced Woman still has name on Title and Mortgage

My husband and I are divorced. The divorce decree states that he gets the house. However, due to financial issues and bad credit, he could not refiance the home under his name only. I am still on the title and mortgage. We now need to sell the house, there is a lot of repairs that need to be done. He is not allowing me to come over and help with the repairs and cleaning up because his new live in girlfriend does not like me. What legal rights do I still have to this house?

It depends on what the judgment of divorce says. If you are entitled to the equity in the house, then you should have an attorney file a motion to permit you to sign all the docs necessary to do a refi on the house. Questions, feel free to email me at: [email protected]
