Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Dna Testing

My ex-wife refuses to take my 11 old fraternal twins in for dna testing. I suspect this is a case of parental fraud. Before she got pregnant she told me she could'nt have any children because of cancer in her cervix. She was lying then and lying to this day. The boy does not look like me at all... in fact he has asthma...nobody in my family or her family has asthma! It's possible she had pregnant from two different men.

Re: Dna Testing

So what are you telling me for? A lawyer may be able to help you but then again, there is some case law that says that since you acted as the father, you are the father as it would be devastating to the kids to find out and be treated otherwise. Bill Stern 248-353-9400

If you were married at the tiemthe children were born, you are presumed the father and a court is loath to upset the status quo. The court is primarily concerned with the best interest of the child. If you were not married when the children were born and you are not on the birth certificate and have always denied paternity of the children, then you may have grounds to contest paternity.
