Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

due process???

had a custody trial in december-court suggested a delay so child could finish school-i asked him if it would affect me adversly.he stated''it might make you look in a better light'' and there was discussion about the waiting.mother had attempted suicide on 3july 2003.due to healt reasons (mothers)trial is delayed until 13july 2004.in judges oipinion he refers to the fact that she has been stable for a year!!!!!!!! I feel decived by this court,and that it plain and simply wasnt fair!was i denied due process?there was never mention that it would favor the mother.
