Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Ex's 401K

Hi in my divorce in 2004 my ex was to give me of his 401K. He filled bankruptcy and filed me in his papers but as owing me money rather than of the 401K. I was told Im still entitled to my half of the 401K regardless of e-mails sent back in forth offering the cash instead of the 401K, is this true?

First, please include your zip code. Where your divorce was filed is important.

I think you are still entitled. Did you have a lawyer during your divorce? He or she should have taken care of this for you. I suggest that you call.

Re: Ex's 401K

You should still be able to get half of the 401k with your lawyers assistance.
