Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Ex-Wife Harrassing New Wife

My ex-wife has been on a tyraid lately filing complaints against me for anything and everything. I've been able to handle that up until now b/c now she's dragging my current wife and our child into her complaints and she's gone as far as to request that my child with my current wife be removed from our home (she's never met him and has only met her on a handful of occassions but doesn't speak to her). On top of that, she has my children with her lying to child protective services saying that my current wife has tried to harm them when she hasn't. Is there anything I can do to stop her from continuously filing these complaints?

If Children's Protecitve Services is involved, you should phone Attorney Mike Cronkright

at 1 8667665245. It is important to aggressively fight the bogus allegations. CPS will eventually understand that you ex is being vindictive.

Re: Ex-Wife Harrassing New Wife

If the allegations are completely groundless, false or otherwise exaggerated, you should retain an attorney to put a stop to this. It is against the law to file a false report with Child Protective Services, especially when it can be shown that the person filing it had an ulterior motive for doing so.

There are other remedies you can seek, such as a restraining order or other relief through your divorce/child custody case, to stop this action, including her harassment and otherwise inappropriate conduct toward your children. If there was language in your divorce judgment that stated the parties (you and her) were to refrain from making disparaging comments to the children, then she is in violation of the judgment, and you can file a motion to seek enforcement of that judgment and/or to find her in contempt of court.

Even without the language, it sounds as though she has otherwise violated the law.

Make sure you timely respond to any inquiries by CPS, and cooperate to the fullest, to avoid any misperceptions.

Should you need an attorney, please contact me immediately.

Thank you.
