Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

family law

I am a student from Korea, and my mom has passed away last December! Currently, I am studying finance here at the University of Findlay in Findlay, OH. (now, I am staying at my uncle's in Ann Arbor)

I want to know if there is any U.S. laws that might help me acquiring the half of her assets here in the U.S. I want to prevent my father to take all the money stuff and afraid of giving me nothing...as an international student...I hope I get a free legal aid. A reason is '' I am having a financial difficulty''

Please help me! So I have the right to get compensated for all the stuff!

Thanks! I will be waiting for your quick response!
