Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

If a father and mother share legal custody but not physycal custody can the father deny the child be involved in any counsling or tharapy.

No. That falls under the "legal" custody aspect and all decisions must be made jointly by each parent. If one parent feels that medical treatment or counseling is unnecessary, or should not occur, that parent should file a motion with the court and let the Judge decide.
