no fault divorce question about getting pregnant while waiting for divorce heari
I live in Mich. My husband in Wisc. I have filed for a no fault divorce (called Im Pro Per) Everything was set. Bills and property divided. No contesting from anyone. No children at the time I filed. Our divorce date is Aug 30. All the papers were filed with the court house and we are good to go. Except now, I found out I am pregnant. It has nothing to do with my husband. Haven't even seen him in almost a yr. Do I have to file a new form for this, or do I just tell the judge when I go in front of her in Aug, or does it not matter. My husb has nothing to do with this kid. We didn't have any. Do I have to file any papers to say that I am now pregnant or what? Please help. I dont want my case thrown out because of this. Need to know if I need to do anything to report this pregnancy. Just found out. I am 5 weeks preg right now. Thank you very much for answering.

Any child born during the course of the marriage is presumed to be the husband's child. In your case you filed a DO (Divorce without children), the judge will probably you put into your proposed Judgment of Divorce that you are currently pregnant, your husband is not the father, (might even ask you to name the father), and your husband will have to sign the proposed Judgment of Divorce.
I have had judges require that the parties wait the statutory six months and enter a DM, however, the husband was the father.
Call the judge's clerk and ask him/her about how the judge handles this.
