Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

fiancee wants to adopt her 6 sisters children.

If something were to happen to her sister, she wants full custody of her 6 kids. i want my own family with her, without the possibility of having her sisters 6 kids.

You can't stop her from having an agreement with her sister, and the children's natural father, that she would have custody if something happened to them. I suggest you discuss this between the two of you. I think it is very honorable that she would want to take on such a huge responsibility, which shows how much she loves her family.

If the only reason she'd be adopting the children would be if something happened to her sister, then why are you so worried? It's good to plan for emergencies. I imagine you and your fiance would want to make sure there is someone there to care for your children if something happens to you.
