Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
I just filed for divorce from my husband of 7 years. We have 3 kids together 5, 4 and 2. I got a letter in the mail saying that our friend of the court hearing is on november 5th. Me and my soon to be ex agreed to not go through lawyers. I just recieved a letter from his attorney that he appearently got, stating that we i have to appear for court tomorrow, Monday at 2:30 for a motion for temporary physical custody. I have no attorney, can i get a court appointed one or can i get court postponed untill i can get one? Again the actual friend of the court date is on nov. 5th. What can i do? What should i do?

You are obviously not qualified to practice law. What ever made you think that you could complete a complex legal procedure without an expert to help you? Do you also practice surgery on yourself?
Quit acting foolishly. HIRE AN EXPERIENCED FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY RIGHT AWAY.
