Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
final divorce judgment
what happens if the plantiff doesn't show up for the court date or decides not to sign the final judgement for divorce? will the divorce still be granted with only the defendant signing?

Re: final divorce judgment
Typically, the plaintiff needs to show up, unless the defendant has filed a counter complaint (also asking for divorce) that the Defendant could proceed on. If you have an attorney for this, I'd highly recommend speaking to your attorney about this concern to make sure you are prepared for this possibility.
