Financial lock out
Currently in a pending Divorce going on 2 years. We would be married 20 years. No children. My spouse had an affair and filed for a divorce we own several investments properties aquired duing the marriage. Spouse filed for divorce, immediately took over all of the investment finances making all decisions once made by both. Record books were removed from the home, have not seen them since. I have expressed repeatly to my attorney the importance of getting a handle on this information to no avail. On second attorney and
We have done nothing in the form of discovery, motions have been filed only to be cancel by my attorney before trial. My Spouse admitted to the affair during his deposition. I am positive that funds have been hidden Attorney #2 stated that I had him convinced there was some wrong doing, but cancel the motion. My spouse's long time standing affair is with a woman who was found guilty of embelzzement from her job. (great concerns about our finances). The lawyers take on this is I can go to the opposing lawyer's office and review the records. My request for copies of the receipt book among other finicial records have had produce nothing. Please help....This is just the tip of the iceberg.

If you feel that you are not getting adequate representation, perhaps consider switching attorneys. Before you do that have a frank talk with your attorney, explain that you feel that there are problems. Perhaps your attorney will be responsive or at least explain his/her strategy.
