F.O.C. taking money from lien

I placed a lien on money and the lien has gone through but they sent it to the michigan disbursment unit. When I called them they said that they would divide it up between his cases. My daughter is the oldest and is owed $16000.00 the lien is only for 4000.00 is there anything I can do to stop them from splitting it. He only owes 600.00 on the other case?
