Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
forged divorce papers
I live in michigan and have been divorced for 3 years I think. I have had custody issues with my ex for awhile now. so I sent for a copy of my divorce decree from the county clerks offfice the last page that should have all the signatures was blank, never thought nothing of it since it was a copy. but after going to the friend of court and telling them i didn't agree to the current arrangement she said I would have had to sign something, I said I didn't she went in the computer in my file and i noticed that same paper i had a copy of with no signatures but this copy had them.
I told her that is not my signature someone forged my name, so i went back to the county clerks office where i say the original document with all the signatures in blue pen and it looks like my was a photocopied forged signature. My question is my divorce real as i am getting ready to be remarried and if someone forged my signature what can be done and is this document to be null and void. thank you michael

You should immediately consult with an experienced family law attorney. There are many unresolved questions that need to be resolved before you remarry.
