Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

My friend is almost divorced (everything settled except final paperwork) and he was awarded some possessions from their marital home. Neither live there currently, and it is in the process of being foreclosed. Because of a PPO imposed by his mother-in-law, he is not allowed to set foot on the property. The wife made an arrangement through the courts to meet with his mother to get his stuff since he can't go on the property himself. She is now refusing to give him his property. Can he send in a friend (with his permission and a copy of the court order) to get his things, or is that grounds for arrest or legal trouble?

To be safe, he should either file a Show Cause in Court letting the judge know the problem or go to the police department with the Court Order and ask for assistance. They might not be willing to get involved, but it's probably easier than going back to court. Good luck.
