furniture

as our income is pooled together, my husband purchased furniture in

his name. if we separate, is he en-

titled to take the furniture.

If there is debt attached to the furniture, it might be in your financial interest to let him keep the furniture, but if there is no debt attached to the furniture and it was paid for with joint funds, you could arguably at least claim to keep half. Typically furniture is not titled in anyone's name, so if it is acquired during your marriage, it is typically joint property. If he had bought it before you married, then it would only be his property.
