Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Can anyone give out a subpoena ?
My ex-wife ownes an ice-cream store which she got from her dad who owned it for 30+ years. It is a cash business and she ownes the business and the property. I know for a fact that she makes a ton of money, but her taxes do not reflect it due to all the loop holes owning a cash business. She sent a order for a review on support, and stated to the court she only makes $938 per MONTH! The court raised my support $200 per WEEK! Can I personally subpoena her bank accounts, mortgage application, taxes and her dad, to prove she makes $200k at least per year?

Only an attorney or a judge can sign a subpoena.

You will probably have to go before the judge and explain why you want these items and obtain a court order allowing the release of these records. Go in with more than suspicion. Go into court with proof that her life style cannot be met on the income she reports. Then the judge is more likely to allow release of the information. Why don't you get a lawyer and do it right?
