Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Hello!
My ex husband and I have joint legal custody, I have sole physical. He doesn't exercise his legal rights very well and doesn't have the best interest of our son in mind. For example my son has ear problems and has had 6 surgeries since 18 months all of which he's been present for, this year he needed another and just to fight with me he decided he needed a new surgeon and would take him which was fine but canceled the appointment 3 times delaying his surgery and causing more hearing loss-also the new surgeon told him AGAIN he's allergic to dogs and cats which intensifies the problems, he's continues to have 3. He doesn't have a job or car, rarely pays child support- I have texts from him saying he's using drugs and alcohol, beating people up. I just don't feel being with him is safe for my son- or that he has his best interest the majority of the time. My son is 7 and doesn't want to go with him. What are my options?
