Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
I hold Primary custody in my child case and will be moving as of this Sunday the 12th 2010. Right now as it stands I have been transporting the kids to a location for the children to get on the bus so that they can go to the district that I have had them in for the past three years. Since I have asked the court that they be taken to theRavenwood/Horton road intersections while going through our divorce because my ex wanted to take them to another route that was confusing the children. Since I am no longer residing at 214 Pats Way as of this Sunday, I want my children to be escorted and dropped off at their new primary househould that resides in the district.
My ex- husband is using the order that states that he and I still need to use the Ravenwood/ Horton Road intersections for the pick up and drop off points on his days. (which are Thursday and every other Friday nights) This again will confuse the children and the bus driver.
The children need a consistant and stable bus route. They are ages 8,6. I am asking to see what my rights are here or what I need to do for the next steps in changing this.

You cannot unilaterally change a Court Order. You must file a motion to change the current order, explaining your change in residence. www.kliszlaw.com Tim Klisz
