Home ownership in a divorce

While a divorce is in progress, is it legal for one party to kick another party out of there home?

Hello, I have received a copy of your e-mail regarding use of the marital home during a divorce. No, it is not permissible for one party to kick the other out of the marital home during the pendency of a divorce. There may be several reasons why leaving the home is a good idea; however, you cannot be forced out of the house without a court order if you don't want to leave. Consult your lawyer. John C. Talpos
