Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

If neither my husband or I have lived in michigan for 180 days how would we go about getting a uncontested divorce with a minor child involved. we have agreed on everything and on how we would like everything to be.

its just that i have been in michigan since the middle of april and he moved here at the end of may of this year. neither of us have proof of it.

You have been here for the required time. No one requires proof of this. You just need to swear to this in your complaint and at the time proofs are taken by the Judge. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss more fully. Tim Klisz

Our appellate courts have confirmed that it is criminal perjury to lie about the time of residency. Meet with an experienced family law attorney and be honest about your residency. You should be able to be divorced in Michigan.
