This question cannot be answered properly without knowing your entire situation. By pay for a divorce, do you mean your wife's legal fees? The division of assets and debts in a divorce depends on multiple factors, which is why your question cannot be answered. Your wife can ask for reimbursement of legal fees in her complaint, but that does not mean she is entitled to them, or will receive them. You should retain a lawyer to ensure that your rights are protected during the divorce and that the Judgment of Divorce is equitable and fair. Most terms of the Judgment are not modifiable and, therefore, you will be bound by them forever. Thus, it is extremely important to have a lawyer involved to properly advise you and/or ensure that the Judgment is proper and equitable pursuant to the law. Your wife's lawyer cannot provide you with legal advice and can only represent one person in a divorce action. Your wife's lawyer is not looking out for your best interests, and you need your own lawyer.
