Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
inappropriate answers
I too have submitted questions to lawguru and also have recieved answers back that are ''snide'' and just plain rude! I certainly appreciate that there is a forum such as this, however isn't it a waste of my time and the attorney answering to either not answer the question asked or to do so with a remark that is totally uncalled for?
Wouldn't it be better for all concerned (including other readers) to just bypass the question and not answer it at all?
As for Mr. Legere, do you really feel it necessary to comment on your fee schedule? Is it necessary to point out to people who may not be able to afford $500.00 per hour that they are not worthy of good advice from a site that is ''dedicated'' to giving advice?
To those attorneys that take the time to actually answer the questions asked, i'm grateful.
For those that are here for their own self gratification c'est la vie!
I believe the point that the person who submitted the original question was implying was that anyone can go to an attorney and ask a question for $150.00 but for the $500.00 advice a listserve such as this is right in my budget!
Thanks in advance!

I really do not know what you are complaining about. Perhaps what you feel is a snide answer is actually a good answer but simply what you don't want to hear. If you can point me to something I said that is indicative that I am being a smart aleck, then tell me. Otherwise, I think that you fall into that category of people who are only happy when the doctor or lawyer tells them good news. Bill Stern
