Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Invasion of privacy during divorce
I am currently separated from my husband and am getting ready to file for divorce. recently he utilized a software package from his place of business to break into my cell phone to see who I was calling and my phone plan is seperate from his. Is there anything I can do since it was an invasion of privacy?

Yes, it sounds like you suffered an invasion of your privacy. Did the program also allow him to eavesdrop on your phone calls? In what county will you be filing for divorce? If you choose, you could include a claim for invasion of privacy in your divorce complaint. Whether this is a good idea, however,depends...

You may be able to do something about the invasion of your privacy. Your lawyer should be able to tell you about tort claims in family law cases.
