i was involved in a police raid my son got taken from me and was placed with my grandmother when i went to court the judge let my son go with my mother who lives in texas (im in michigan) long story short...... my case got closed and now im ready to get my son one problem......... my mom has guardiansip (my parentals right were not taken, nor did she get custody) mihigan courts told me to get my son my mom wont let me. what do i do, does guardianship end in a year what steps do i do to get him back

The guardianship was likely temporary - don't you have a copy of the paperwork? You need to retain a lawyer to help you in Michigand possibly Texas, if that is where the guardianship was established (it also depends on how long she has had him, etc.) Even if the guardianship was temporary, the guardian can petition to have it extended or become permanent. She is required to serve you with a copy of all papers, however, that doesn't mean she actually will, especially if she feels your son is better off with her. Start with retaining a Michigan lawyer to look at how the guardianship was handled, where, and the exact terms, and then the lawyer can properly advise you on the next step.
