Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Joint Legal and Joint Physical Custody

I am a parent who has joint legal and Joint physical custody of my minor child. The other half of this custody order is not communicating Doctor appoints with me, even after I have asked to be notified with that info in writing. I have not spoken to the other half in 6 months, I exchange my child with the grandfather. Is this lack of communication a violation of the custody order?

Re: Joint Legal and Joint Physical Custody

It probably is a violation. You can motion before the court for a specific order requiring the "other half" to notify you of such appointments. If you find non-compliance, then go to court for contempt.
