Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

My ex and I have joint legal and physical custody of our 3 year old daughter. It is his weekend to have her. He called me on his way to the airport to tell me that he was taking her to walt Disney world. We live in Michigan. They will be back on Monday when he is supposed to return her. Shouldn't he have given me more notice and have gotten my permission before doing this.

Doubtful. It is his time and he is doing something certainly in the best interest of your child. I doubt a court would punish him for this activity. Unless, of course, it specifically contradicted your divorce judgment.

He is perfectly within his rights to take his child on his custody days.

He does not need your permission.
